Royal Oak Selfwinding 15500ST

Although familiar, the 15500ST is more than just a simple upgrade. At SIHH, Audemars Piguet introduced the COD 11.59 collection, featuring numerous new movements from Tourbillon and Chronograph to automatic alarms.

Also part of the COD 11.59 collection, the 15500ST utilizes the 4302 automatic movement, a completely new calibre developed entirely by Audemars Piguet.

The Cal. 4302 has a diameter of 31mm, perfectly suited to the 41mm case of the 15500ST.

The oscillation frequency of this automatic movement has been upgraded to 4Hz, and the power reserve has been increased to 70 hours, compared to the 60 hours of its predecessor.

The new movement boasts a meticulously crafted design, creating a balanced case back. The Cal.4302 boasts a gold rotor, breaking away from the clichés of older designs like the brand’s ornate logos.
